KBRN, Jakarta: I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali recorded 22.1 million passengers between January and November 2025, marking a one percent increase compared to the same period last year.
General Manager Ahmad Syaugi Shahab said the airport handled 22,118,214 passengers during the 11-month period, up from 21,869,747 passengers in 2024. “This growth reflects Bali’s continued appeal as both an international and domestic destination,” Ahmad said in a statement on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Of the total passengers, 13,465,786 (63 percent) were international travelers, and 8,141,278 were domestic. In November alone, the airport served 1,788,540 passengers, consisting of 685,445 domestic and 1,103,095 international travelers.
Flight movements in November reached 11,369, with 5,096 domestic and 6,273 international arrivals and departures. Jakarta remained the busiest domestic route, serving 340,687 passengers, followed by Surabaya with 93,594 and Makassar with 44,132.
On international routes, Singapore led with 172,040 passengers, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 128,796 and Perth with 88,118.
Data also showed that Australians were the largest group of foreign visitors to Bali in November, totaling 124,548. They were followed by 44,179 visitors from India and 35,918 from China.
Ahmad noted that new flight connections have contributed to the increase, including routes to Newcastle in Australia, Mumbai in India, and Sichuan in China.
Looking ahead, airport management hopes to expand direct connectivity to Bali. With the January–November target achieved, Ngurah Rai Airport is now preparing for a surge in traffic during the Christmas and New Year holidays. “As in previous years, we will establish a Christmas-New Year post this December to ensure excellent service for passengers,” Ahmad said.
