🌴 Another Hidden Gem Near Bali Paradise Beach Estates – And It’s Delicious! 🍽️

One of the great joys of living in Bali is that every week — sometimes every day — we discover something new and wonderful right on our doorstep.

Our latest find? A charming little restaurant Located just after the entrance to the Royal Purnama Hotel only a short 5 Minute stroll from our home at Bali Paradise Beach Estates, Pantai Purnama.

The correct name is “Warung Jogglo Al Zen Zen”

According to their Instagram account “Jogglo Al Zen Zen – Where Mix food Flavours Flourish Natural ingredients. Book now Jl Pantai Purnama, Sukawati, Gianyar Bali.” Instagram

Additionally, from another Instagram post (a soft-opening announcement), it states:

“Welcome to our Warung Jogglo Al Zen Zen Western and Indo food. 50 meters from beach, Volcano view, rice field…” Instagram https://www.instagram.com/warungjoggloalzenzen/

What first caught our eye was the beautiful “Jogglo”-style traditional house at the entrance to the Royal Purnama Hotel, now transformed into an intimate eatery with a touch of French flair.

We soon learned it’s owned and operated by the delightful Alda — an Indonesian with a warm personality — who learned her culinary craft from her French partner, Philippe.

The atmosphere is pure Bali charm: tropical gardens, elegant dΓ©cor (Philippe has decades of experience in fine furniture), and a quiet setting despite being close to the road.

By day, the views stretch all the way to majestic Mount Agung, Bali’s 3,200m volcano. By night, it’s softly lit and simply magical.

On our first visit, my wife Azizah and I fell in love with the crispy Balinese-style duck — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.

On our next trip, we tried the prawns, sourced daily from Jimbaran fishermen. They were large, fresh, and served with your choice of a spicy or mild sauce. My son Xander gave them two enthusiastic thumbs up!

And the price? Astonishingly affordable — dinner for three, including drinks, for only 400,000 rupiah (around US$29).

We’ll definitely be back soon for their homemade lasagna and classic French-style soup.

One nice perk is that there's plenty of parking a two minute walk away at the beach parking which during certain parts of the day has a very small charge for it.

Best of all, after enjoying a wonderful meal under a full moon, we were just a 3-minute walk from home.

πŸ’‘ This is just one of the perks of living here in Bali — world-class dining, fresh ingredients, friendly faces, and it’s all just steps from home. If you’ve ever dreamed of owning property in Bali, this is the lifestyle you could be enjoying every day.

Congratulations to Alda and Philippe for creating such a wonderful dining experience!
