World Famous Day Zero Festival To Be Hosted At Bali’s GWK Cultural Park

The Bali Sun

Bali is one of Southeast Asia’s best destinations for live music and festivals. Whether it’s the world’s biggest artists gracing the stages of the world’s most famous beach clubs, or internationally acclaimed music, yoga, and wellness festivals, there is an event worth flying in for every month of the year.

The world-famous Day Zero Festival will be coming to Bali from the 14th to the 19th of April 2026. After previous editions in Milagres and Tulum, the internationally beloved festival is now making a name for itself in Bali and will be held at none other than the GWK Cultural Park.

With such a full festival programme, other events, celebrations, and cultural immersions will be hosted across the island over the festival period.

The team describes the festival as “a convergence of mysticism, music, natural wonder, and apocalyptic sentiment spawned Day Zero on the final day of the Ancient Mayan Calendar in 2012. In its subsequent chapters, it has evolved, awakening a community of curious thrill seekers and adventurers from all four corners of the globe who are pulled to celebrate the magic of one of the world’s singular events, soundtracked by some of its most exciting artists.”

The event has always had a strong environmental focus, and with Bali a destination that often helps tourists and travelers reconnect with the natural world, there are many reasons the Island of the Gods has been chosen for this year’s event.

Event planners have been working behind the scenes for more than two years, and there is hope that loyal Day Zero Festival lovers will fly into Bali for the occasion, as well as newcomers who can attend for the first time now that the event is being held on new soil.

Day Zero explains, “the essential link with the natural world and local community has shepherded Day Zero’s commitment to fostering an environmental sustainability program that will ensure the event’s continued return to the ancient land.”

“The Day Zero team is dedicated to this process and enlists industry professionals whose sole purpose is to leave the venue cleaner than they found it and free of dangerous pollutants.”

Adding “The ongoing evolution of the event’s story is why Day Zero is revered as the epitome of modern rave, offering its global community a path towards transcendental awakening — wherever it may land.”

The Day Zero Bali team has revealed “From April 14–19, Day Zero takes shape in Bali as a week-long ritual across the island. Each day unfolds as a new chapter, moving through sunset gatherings, nighttime ceremonies, and a special sunrise moment. Distinct locations, atmospheres, and artists guide the journey, creating spaces for connection, movement, and reflection.”

“At its core is April 17, the central ceremony from sunset to sunrise at GWK Cultural Park, where the full Day Zero Festival comes alive. A passage through sound, space, and shared energy, experienced consciously and together.”

Confirmed artists include Acid Pauli, Åme DJ, Bonobo, Burnello, and Damian Lazarus. More details about the festival will continue to be announced as the big event comes closer, though tickets are available online now via the Day Zero website and Megatix.

Tickets start at IDR 1,350,000, though with multiple ticket options available, festival-goers are advised to read the small print to check they are buying the right ticket for them.

Music lovers will have a tough decision on their hands as Day Zero Festival is scheduled at the same time as the world-famous BaliSpirit Festival, which is set to be held from 15th to 19th April 2026.

The festival, held at The Yoga Barn in the heart of Ubud, is a highlight of Bali’s social calendar and welcomes artists, musicians, healers, and trainers from around the world for a celebration of yoga, dance, music, and wellness.
