Bali, Asia's most beautiful island most searched solo destination by Americans:

The holiday island Bali in Indonesia, known for its pristine beaches and sacred temples, was the most searched solo travel destination on Google by American tourists this year.

Glacier National Park in the U.S. ranked second, followed by Machu Picchu, the 15th-century Inca citadel in Peru, and San Juan in Puerto Rico, according to the Google Year in Search report.

The Gili Islands in Indonesia also topped the list of trending destinations in the U.S. this year, followed by Washington, D.C., and Miami.

The Gili Islands, made up of three small islands, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air, are located off the coast of Lombok near Bali.

Bali, famous for its natural landscapes, picturesque beaches, traditional culture, rich history, and ancient temples, was recognized as the most beautiful island in Asia by readers of American magazine Condé Nast Traveler in its Readers' Choice Awards.

The island has seen a strong recovery in tourism following the Covid pandemic.

The Google Year in Search report ranks the top trending searches of the year, highlighting queries that experienced a significant spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2024 compared to 2023.

For travel, these results reflect the destinations that have seen a surge in interest over the past year.
