How Our Family of four Saved Tens of Thousands on Luxury Travel Over the Past Nine Years

Traveling as a family isn’t cheap—especially when all members are considered adults.

Our family at the Great Pyramid in Giza where we had a home exchange as well
Our two grown sons prefer their own rooms, so to keep everyone happy, we'd usually need at least three hotel rooms or a suite with an adjacent room.

In many parts of the world, that could easily cost anywhere from $400 to $700 per night for something decent—an expense that quickly adds up.

Nearly a decade ago, I discovered the magic of home exchanges

I just realized that over the past 9 years we've achieved a nine out of 10 rating and a 4.9 out of five approval rating from our guests and as a host.
That's a 98% satisfaction rate pretty hard to beat.
At first, we traded our secondary home, and more recently, we've even exchanged smaller apartments we own in Bali.

This simple strategy has allowed us to stay in multi-million-dollar homes across the globe, including:

Home exchange in Auckland New Zealand tennis court and pool

  • Luzane, Switzerland
  • Toronto Canada
  • Halifax Nova Scotia Canada
  • Richmond, Vancouver, Canada
  • London, England
  • Singapore
  • Thailand
  • Sydney Australia
  • Auckland New Zealand
  • Dubai
  • Santiago, Chile (where we stayed in two $2 Million Dollar + homes during a ski vacation)
Multi million dollar home in Santiago Chile close to ski resort
  • Cairo, Egypt (where we had a beautifully renovated three-bedroom apartment while visiting the pyramids)

Beyond the luxury accommodations, we've often had access to high-end cars as part of the deal—all at no cost.

I know it sounds too good to be true, but as a Canadian hotel manager and owner, I’ve learned the ins and outs of this system over the years.

Now, for just a little over $200 per year, our family of four enjoys nearly a month of free home exchanges annually—saving tens of thousands of dollars while experiencing high-end travel.

Want to learn how you can do the same? I’m happy to share my secrets for free.

Happy travels! 🌍✈️
