Located in the bustling heart of Tahrir Square, this historic treasure trove has been captivating visitors since its opening in 1902.

As the first museum of its kind in the Middle East, it houses an astonishing 120,000 artifacts that offer an unparalleled glimpse into Egypt’s ancient past.

The family was particularly fascinated by the Royal Mummy Room, which displays the preserved bodies of pharaohs like Ramses II and Queen Hatshepsut, revealing intricate details about the art of mummification.

The highlight of their visit was the Tutankhamun exhibit, featuring the young king’s iconic golden mask and his exquisitely crafted burial treasures.

Wandering through the museum's neo-classical halls, they soaked in the atmosphere of history, marveling at the artifacts that seemed to breathe life into stories from thousands of years ago.
